We are seeking an experienced Material Handler to join our busy warehouse operations in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the movement of materials, ensuring efficient flow from receiving to dispatch. This includes loading and unloading trucks, stocking items, and preparing them for distribution. Your contribution is vital to our logistics network's success. We are deeply committed to a safe working environment, providing comprehensive training on equipment operation and mandating the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and stage materials efficiently and safely.
- Transport materials throughout the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Accurately track and record material movements using our inventory system.
- Load outgoing shipments onto transport vehicles, ensuring proper securement.
- Organize and maintain inventory storage areas for optimal accessibility and safety.
- Conduct regular inspections of material handling equipment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and discrepancy resolution.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Previous experience as a Material Handler is required. Experience operating forklifts and other relevant machinery is essential. Ability to perform lifting of materials up to 70 lbs regularly. Understanding of logistics and warehouse operations. Strong commitment to workplace safety and proper handling techniques. Must be physically capable of performing the duties of the role, including frequent bending and lifting. This role demands an individual who is reliable, detail-oriented, and dedicated to maintaining operational efficiency and safety standards.
