Join our dynamic team as a Picker/Packer in Detroit, Michigan, and play a vital role in our logistics and fulfillment operations. In this hands-on position, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders and then securely packaging those items for shipment. Precision and speed are essential to ensure timely order delivery and maintain high customer satisfaction. This role requires physical capability, including prolonged standing, walking, and frequent lifting of items up to 50 pounds. We are committed to a safe working environment, and all employees must strictly follow safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE at all times. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to meet daily quotas and contribute to the overall efficiency of our distribution center. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products based on order specifications using pick lists or scanners.
- Inspect items for damage before packing.
- Pack orders efficiently and securely, using appropriate packaging materials.
- Verify order accuracy against shipping labels.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for outbound logistics.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and warehouse environment.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and tape guns safely.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts as needed.
- Contribute to team goals for productivity and order accuracy.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a warehouse environment is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Commitment to following safety protocols and wearing PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
