$180,000.00/yr - $210,000.00/yr Fluent is seeking a Security Architect to build and mature our security operations capabilities. This role will be foundational in defining Fluent's security architecture, operational processes, tooling strategy, and incident response model across cloud, application, and corporate environments. The ideal candidate combines hands?on technical depth, security architecture expertise, and operational pragmatismsomeone who can move Fluent from reactive security controls to a proactive, intelligence?driven security posture. What You'll Do Evaluate existing security infrastructure and identify opportunities for improvement. Work with IT leadership to design and implement solutions to expand security infrastructure and streamline the security stack to improve visibility and operational efficiency. Consolidate reporting and monitoring through expanded integration with Wiz. Lead efforts to update and codify security standards inline with industry best practices. Lead security response and investigation efforts as needed. Support GRC activities and audits as needed. Work with IT management to streamline IAM integration across end?user endpoints. Work with AWS team to manage AWS IAM for cloud services. Design and lead the implementation of a formal Security Operations Center (SOC), including detection architecture, alerting strategy, incident workflows, and escalation models. Architect and operationalize security telemetry across Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and application layers. Define and mature detection use cases and alerting strategy to improve signal quality and reduce noise. Serve as a senior security advisor to engineering and platform teams, embedding security into system design and technical decision?making. Provide structured post?incident analysis and remediation guidance as a formalized practice.
Requirements
Hands?on experience evaluating security infrastructure and identifying improvement opportunities. Strong design and implementation skills for expanding security infrastructure and streamlining security stacks. Experience with advanced monitoring and reporting tools, including integration with services such as Wiz. Knowledge of industry best practices for security standards and ability to codify them. Hands?on incident response and investigation experience. Familiarity with GRC frameworks and audit participation. Proficiency in IAM management for end?user endpoints and AWS environments. Experience designing and operating a Security Operations Center (SOC) with detection, alerting, and incident workflow architecture. Operationalization of security telemetry across Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and application layers. Strong analytical skills to define and refine detection use cases and reduce noise. Track record of advising engineering and platform teams on security integration. Experience conducting post?incident analysis with clear remediation guidance.

Salary & Benefits
Salary Range: $180,000 to $210,000 base, + competitive bonus plan. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Fluent salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
