Join our vibrant logistics team in Orlando, Florida, as a Picker/Packer! This role is essential for ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. You will be responsible for accurately locating and picking items from warehouse shelves, meticulously packing them for shipment, and preparing them for dispatch. You will be working in a dynamic environment with a variety of products, requiring attention to detail and the ability to adapt. Efficient order fulfillment is a critical aspect of our logistics operations, and your performance directly impacts customer satisfaction. A strong emphasis is placed on workplace safety; adherence to all safety guidelines, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. The role involves physical tasks, including the lifting and movement of goods, so a good level of stamina is required. We are seeking individuals who are organized, motivated, and eager to contribute to a successful team. Understanding the flow of goods within a busy warehouse and maintaining accuracy are fundamental to this position.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using scanning devices and pick lists.
- Inspect items for quality and accuracy before packing.
- Securely and efficiently pack items into appropriate shipping containers.
- Apply shipping labels and necessary documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols.
- Properly use and maintain all required PPE.
- Contribute to inventory accuracy through diligent order fulfillment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily targets.
- Perform tasks that require lifting and carrying packages.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or order fulfillment is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret order documents.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Comfortable with lifting items up to 40 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Dedication to maintaining a safe working environment and proper PPE usage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting and meet productivity goals.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
