We are seeking a motivated and reliable Picker/Packer to join our dynamic logistics team in Portland, Oregon. As a Picker/Packer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accurate and efficient fulfillment of customer orders. Your primary responsibilities will involve accurately picking items from warehouse shelves and packing them securely for shipment. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with our warehouse management system to track inventory and manage order fulfillment.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products based on order specifications using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Carefully pack items into appropriate shipping containers, ensuring product protection and minimizing damage.
- Verify order accuracy before packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially those related to safety and quality control.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and order forms.
- Familiarity with RF scanning technology is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to perform the physical demands of the job, including frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times, including safety glasses and steel-toed boots.
