Are you a detail-oriented individual looking for a rewarding role in Austin, Texas? We are hiring dedicated Picker/Packers to join our distribution center. In this fast-paced role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing customer orders for shipment. Your keen eye for detail and efficiency will directly impact customer satisfaction. This position involves extensive walking, standing, and manual dexterity to handle various products. We emphasize a culture of Safety and provide all necessary training, including proper use of PPE, to ensure a secure and productive work environment. Understanding basic logistics is helpful.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves using order pick lists or RF scanners.
- Inspect items for damage or defects before packing.
- Package products securely and efficiently, ensuring they are ready for shipment.
- Verify order accuracy against pick lists.
- Label packages correctly for transit.
- Assist with receiving and stocking duties as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to overall warehouse tidiness.
- Adhere to all company Safety guidelines and regulations.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to meet daily performance targets.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience as a picker/packer or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Capacity for Lifting items weighing up to 40 pounds regularly.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with basic inventory and logistics principles.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Flexibility to work overtime during peak seasons.
