Weekend tournament coverage is required.
* ATC certification required.
* 1-2 years of full-time athletic training experience preferred.
*What You Will Do*
* Assess injuries and manage comprehensive treatment programs to prevent injury and rehabilitate athletes.
* Implement conditioning programs for both injured and non-injured athletes, ensuring safety through tailored program development that incorporates individualized nutrition plans and training schedules.
* Evaluate and manage injuries, maintain medical documentation for each athlete, and act as a liaison between physicians and athletes.
* Prepare athletes for practice or competition based on team schedules, applicable regulations and guidelines, and in conjunction with physician and sports performance staff.
* Provide coverage for weekend tournaments and events at Gateway Sports Academy.
* Build and maintain relationships between Gateway Sports Academy athletic programs and Orthopaedic Hospital of Wisconsin.
* Work in close partnership with the assigned Team Physician to ensure comprehensive athlete care and optimal rehabilitation outcomes.
*What You Will Need*
_Licensure / Certification / Registration:_
* Athletic Trainer credentialed from the Wisconsin Athletic Trainers Affiliated Credentialing Board, obtained prior to hire date.
* BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA), obtained within 60 days of hire date.

This position is located at the new Orthopaedic Hospital of Wisconsin physical therapy clinic integrated with Gateway Sports Academy. OHOW is a proud provider of Athletic Training services for University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee athletics and Cedarburg High School athletics, demonstrating our commitment to supporting athletes at all levels. Our team specializes in the prevention, assessment, and rehabilitation of sports-related injuries, providing patient-centered care through evidence-based practices and cutting-edge rehabilitation services.
Athletic trainers at OHOW work in close collaboration with the assigned Team Physician and other sports medicine staff to optimize athlete care.
OHOW was established in 2001 as a joint venture between a group of orthopedic surgeons and Ascension Wisconsin and has a long history of providing comprehensive musculoskeletal and sports medicine care. OHOW operates a full-service orthopedic hospital with 30 beds, 10 operating rooms, laboratory services, diagnostic imaging, along with 9 physical therapy and sports medicine clinics, allowing athletic trainers and sports medicine staff to collaborate closely with orthopedic specialists for optimal athlete care.
