*JOB SUMMARY*:
The primary responsibility is to assist the Contracts and Compliance Director in overseeing Central QA and aid in maintaining quality assurance for Rancho San Antonio. This candidate will have a high level of organizational and analytical skills, be able to prioritize projects, be willing to develop new procedures as necessary to improve the overall quality of the department, have good communication skills, and be a positive team player. Understanding contractual/grant policies and procedures, state and federal regulations, and Best Practice principles is essential for this position.
The Clinical QA/QI Coordinator works closely with Program Directors and QA Coordinators to ensure quality practices are implemented with consistency across the agency. The Clinical (QA/QI) Coordinator will provide clinical support and review of procedures and documentation requirements primarily in the mental health and substance use programs.. The Clinical Quality Assurance and Improvement (QA/QI) Coordinator assists the clinical leadership, therapists and other service providers related to quality assurance and improvement in clinical work, documentation, teamwork, and general supervision. This position is responsible for the effective implementation of the agency’s contracts and program statement, policies, and procedures for behavioral health programs according to the standards of county, state, CARF and other regulatory bodies, specifically related to behavioral health.
*JOB DUTIES*:
· Uphold the mission of Rancho San Antonio.
· Regularly meet with the Program Directors, QA Leadership and Admin/QA Specialists ensure that both needs of the program and Central QA are being met in a timely manner.
· Oversight and accountability of all county and departmental quality assurance-related deadlines.
· Provide in-person support to clinical, QA, and Billing staff as necessary to ensure proper collaboration across programs and a clear understanding of technical QA matters.
* Assumes an integrative role (primary, hands-on) of training new behavioral health providers during their integration into their assigned role.
* Participate in required meetings and other meetings, on-site and off-site and lead efforts to ensure compliance and updates as required by county and state guidelines as related to treatment provision, documentation, billing/claims management and policy updates.
* Participates in case consultations, crisis interventions, and team building, as needed.
* Assist with building reports for compliance and data integration.
* Assist with trauma-informed competencies and integration into clinical and residential services.
* Attends and participates in mandatory training and in-services, maintaining mandatory training hours as outlined by DMH and CCL.
* Available for on-call crisis issues and clinical consultation from staff.
· Distribute necessary information to various departments within Rancho San Antonio as well as outside agencies.
· Assist with agency certifications (Medi-Cal, SUD, STRTP, licensing, or other certifications) in collaboration with Program Directors and Admin/QA Staff.
· Participate in the hiring and training of new behavioral health and QA/Admin staff.
· Manage technical aspects of External Audit preparation and processes.
· Participate in Internal Audits of each program to assess for contractual and agency compliance.
· Lead policy updates and organization in collaboration with program leadership.
· Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for disclosures of protected health information, including monitoring, tracking, and reporting suspected and actual breaches of information.
· Oversee QA development within new and existing programs created within the agency.
· Participate in and oversee related Quality Improvement tasks/projects.
· Manage special projects as determined in collaboration with the Contracts and Compliance Director and the Rancho Executive team.
· Perform all other duties as deemed necessary for the role and/or assigned by the supervisor and/or executive leadership.
*JOB QUALIFICATIONS*:
· Current California license (LCSW,LMFT, Ph.D./Psy.D.) granted by the State Board of Behavioral Science Examiners and the ability to supervise Mental Health interns.
· Minimum of two years post master’s experience (five or more years preferred) in a behavioral health setting, progressive supervisory/administrative experience in the field of behavioral health services, preferably in programs providing the care and treatment for severely emotionally disturbed youth or similar types of settings.
· Knowledge of the Los Angeles County policies and procedures.
· Knowledge of DMH IHBIS and Medi-Cal billing, SAPC/SUD Program, or related program.
· Knowledge and familiarity with use of electronic health record (preferably CareLogic, Exym, etc).
· Knowledge of Microsoft Access, Word, and Excel.
· Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
· Must fulfill all requirements of employment, including clearance of all required background records (e.g., Department of Justice, Child Abuse, California Community Care Licensing, County Sanction List, etc.), professional reference checks, physical examination with TB test, vaccinations (or authorized exemptions), and drug screening.
· Clearance of TB test, fingerprints, and any other mandatory state/federal licensing or certification requirements.
*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:*
In the course of performing this job, the incumbent must be able lift to 40 pounds. Will also require bending, stooping, filing, frequent sitting, twisting, typing, talking, hearing and repetitive motions. Occasional traveling, driving, walking, standing, grasping, pulling, pushing, and reaching. Pay: $90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
