We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced *Licensed Veterinary Technician* to join our team in a fast-paced and busy environment. We are a 4 doctor, full-service hospital that sees small animals and exotics. Our technicians play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients and excellent customer service to our clients. Responsibilities Include:
* Assisting veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other procedures
* Performing in-house diagnostics such as blood work, radiographs, urinalysis, and fecal analysis
* Administering medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians
* Monitoring anesthesia and vital signs
* Performing dental cleanings
* Filling prescriptions and perform technician appointments such as nail trims
* Providing post-operative care and monitor animals for any signs of complications
* Educating pet owners on proper animal care and answer their questions or concerns
* Maintaining accurate medical records
Requirements:
* *7+ years experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician*
* Detail oriented, punctual, highly organized and able to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced work environment
* Team player
* Proficient in anesthesia monitoring, dental cleanings, phlebotomy, radiology, intubation, placing IV catheters and caring for hospitalized patients
* Proficient in laboratory/diagnostic procedures such as sample collection and analysis
* Ability to handle and restrain animals safely while minimizing stress
* Experience with digital radiology and in-house laboratory equipment
* Excellent communication and written skills with the ability to educate pet owners effectively and professionally
* No schedule restrictions. Schedule will consist of 4 weekdays (7:45am-6:15pm, 1 hour lunch), Saturdays (7:45am-12:15pm, one Saturday 7:45-4:30pm) with one Saturday off each month.
* _Preferred but not required: avian and exotics experience, IDEXX/Cornerstone experience, bilingual (Spanish)_
