We are seeking a certified Forklift Operator to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is vital to our warehouse operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials. The ideal candidate possesses a valid forklift certification, a strong commitment to Safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment. You will play a key role in managing inventory and supporting our shipping and receiving functions.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers with efficiency and care.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any malfunctions.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock put-away.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse for optimal flow and accessibility.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or safety hazards.
- Support shipping and receiving activities as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Contribute to team goals and overall logistics efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions carefully.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory control.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Good communication skills.
