Our busy logistics facility in Tampa, Florida, is seeking a robust Material Handler to join our operations. As a Material Handler, you will be the backbone of our warehouse movement, ensuring that materials are transported efficiently and safely from point A to point B. This role is physically demanding and requires individuals who are energetic, reliable, and have a strong understanding of warehouse processes. Your primary duties will involve loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory within the facility using forklifts and pallet jacks, and ensuring materials are correctly staged for various departments. Attention to detail is crucial to prevent errors and maintain inventory accuracy. We place the highest priority on safety, and all employees must strictly follow safety regulations and consistently use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from various transport vehicles.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records through proper handling and tracking.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or safety hazards.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to perform demanding physical tasks, including frequent and heavy Lifting.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Reliable and committed to attendance.
