Job Summary:
We are looking for certified and experienced Forklift Operators to join our busy logistics facility in Virginia Beach, Virginia. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the warehouse. Your primary duties will include operating various types of forklifts to load and unload trucks, transport goods to and from storage areas, and assist with inventory management. This role is essential for maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring operational efficiency and safety.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
  • Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
  • Transport products from receiving areas to storage locations and from storage to shipping docks.
  • Conduct daily pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
  • Assist with inventory counts and ensure accurate placement of goods.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the strict use of PPE.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Follow all logistics and warehouse operational procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Valid forklift operator certification is mandatory.
  • Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs when necessary.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
  • Excellent spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Willingness to perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
