We are hiring an Order Picker in Sacramento, California, to join our growing logistics operations. This role is essential for ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for locating and retrieving specified items from warehouse shelves, ensuring each order is picked correctly and efficiently. This demanding yet rewarding position requires constant movement, including walking, standing, and frequent bending. You will be required to handle packages and containers, involving consistent lifting of items up to 50 lbs. The use of hand-held scanners to manage inventory and confirm picks is a key part of the daily routine. We are looking for motivated individuals who can work independently and as part of a team. A strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment is crucial; adherence to all safety policies and the correct usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. Previous experience in a warehouse setting is beneficial but not essential, as we provide thorough training. This is an excellent opportunity to become a vital part of our logistics network and contribute to the success of our distribution center.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and retrieve ordered items from warehouse storage locations.
- Verify order details against items picked.
- Utilize scanning technology to track inventory movements.
- Package items appropriately for transit.
- Assist in maintaining the orderliness of the warehouse floor.
- Follow all established safety procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors promptly.
