We are seeking a certified Forklift Operator for our facility in Madison, Wisconsin. This role is central to our efficient warehouse operations, involving the safe and timely movement of goods. You will operate forklifts to load, unload, stock, and retrieve materials, ensuring accuracy and minimizing damage. Responsibilities include conducting daily equipment inspections, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and assisting with inventory management. A strong commitment to safety protocols and a keen eye for detail are essential. You will be an integral part of our logistics team, contributing to the seamless flow of products through our supply chain. Experience with various types of forklifts and adherence to all operating procedures are required. We maintain a strong focus on workplace safety, and all employees are expected to follow guidelines, including the correct use of PPE. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload inventory from trucks and other vehicles.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated warehouse areas.
- Conduct pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Assist with inventory counts and record-keeping.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Ensure proper use of PPE at all times.
- Perform general warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified Forklift Operator with demonstrable experience.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and safety procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Physical stamina for lifting and maneuvering materials.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Familiarity with PPE and its importance in warehouse operations.
