Join our dynamic team as an Order Picker in Grand Rapids, Michigan! We are looking for dedicated individuals to ensure the accurate and efficient fulfillment of customer orders within our bustling warehouse. As an Order Picker, you will navigate the facility to locate and retrieve specific items based on order requirements, meticulously checking each item for accuracy and quality before it is passed on for packing. Your role is essential to our Logistics operations, directly impacting customer satisfaction by ensuring correct orders are processed promptly. We are committed to providing a safe working environment, offering comprehensive training and the necessary PPE to protect our employees. This position requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to work quickly and accurately, and the physical stamina for tasks such as walking, reaching, and occasional Lifting of items up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to pick lists or scanner instructions.
- Verify that picked items match order details (e.g., product code, quantity, description).
- Inspect items for any damage or defects before moving them to the packing station.
- Operate manual or powered equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Adhere to all company Safety rules and procedures.
- Contribute to meeting daily order fulfillment targets.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven ability to work efficiently and with a high degree of accuracy.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse setting is advantageous.
- Capacity for Lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse layouts and inventory management systems.
- Commitment to following all Safety guidelines and wearing appropriate PPE .
- Understanding of basic Logistics and warehouse operations.
- Good stamina and ability to be on your feet for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
