Advance your career in the bustling logistics hub of New York City, New York, as a Material Handler. We are seeking highly motivated and experienced individuals to manage the flow of goods within our high-volume distribution center. Your responsibilities will include receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping materials, ensuring accuracy and efficiency at every step. A strong emphasis is placed on Safety, and all team members must strictly adhere to all safety protocols and wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots. This role involves significant physical exertion, including frequent and heavy Lifting, so a strong physical capacity is essential. You will operate various material handling equipment, contributing directly to the seamless operation of our logistics network. We are looking for team players with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence in a fast-paced urban environment.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently receive, sort, and store incoming materials and products.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with high accuracy.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain accurate stock records.
- Ensure all workspace is clean, organized, and adheres to Safety standards.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles.
- Utilize all required PPE and follow all Safety procedures diligently.
- Contribute to optimizing warehouse workflow and logistics efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift operation certification is strongly preferred.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, including frequent and heavy Lifting (up to 60 lbs).
- Thorough understanding of warehouse Safety practices and the correct use of PPE.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory management systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic urban setting.
