We are looking for a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This position is integral to our supply chain and logistics network, ensuring the smooth movement and management of goods. You will be responsible for a range of warehouse duties, including receiving inventory, stocking shelves, picking and packing orders, and preparing items for shipment. Accuracy and efficiency are key in this role, as you'll contribute directly to customer satisfaction. We foster a collaborative work environment where safety is paramount. All associates are required to use appropriate PPE and follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries. This role involves significant physical activity, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, and requires standing for extended periods. Responsibilities:
- Accurately receive, inspect, and store incoming merchandise.
- Efficiently pick and pack orders according to specifications.
- Prepare shipments for dispatch, ensuring proper labeling and packaging.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse floor and storage areas.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided if needed).
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Assist in loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
- Support team efforts to meet daily operational targets.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is advantageous.
- Proven ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
