We are seeking energetic and focused Order Pickers to join our busy distribution center in Tampa, Florida. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing customer orders for shipment. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that our customers receive the correct items in a timely manner. You will utilize RF scanners and other equipment to locate and retrieve products from warehouse shelves. A keen eye for detail, efficiency, and a commitment to safety are paramount. We provide a supportive work environment and all necessary safety equipment, including appropriate PPE. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using an RF scanner and/or pick sheet.
- Locate and retrieve products from various warehouse locations.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Package picked items securely for shipment.
- Stage orders for the shipping department.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, adhering to safety guidelines.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory to a supervisor.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, including some general lifting.
- Understand and apply safe lifting techniques for items of varying weights.
- Follow all safety procedures and utilize provided PPE at all times.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet performance targets.
- Capacity for frequent lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent is desirable.
- Commitment to safety standards and proper use of PPE.
