Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this role, you will be instrumental in the efficient movement of materials within our warehouse, ensuring a smooth and productive workflow. Your responsibilities will include receiving, unloading, staging, and preparing materials for shipment. You will operate forklifts and other material handling equipment, adhering strictly to all safety protocols. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment. You will be part of a fast-paced operation where accuracy and efficiency are paramount.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials and shipments.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Move, stack, and stage materials in designated warehouse locations.
  • Pick and prepare materials for outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
  • Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) as required.
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
  • Identify and report any damaged goods or safety hazards immediately.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Proficiency in operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks is a plus.
  • Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
  • Strong commitment to safety and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and work in various warehouse conditions.
