Join our dynamic team as a Material Handler in the heart of Chicago, Illinois! We are seeking motivated individuals to support our fast-paced warehouse operations. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the movement and organization of goods within the facility. This role is crucial to our overall logistics and supply chain efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading materials from trucks and containers.
- Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Moving and stacking products to designated areas.
- Assisting with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Reporting any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- Collaborating with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role preferred.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical work, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment operation.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
