We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. Your primary duties will include receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping of goods. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding our high standards of safety and operational excellence. You will work closely with a team of warehouse professionals to ensure smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a warehouse environment and be comfortable working in a fast-paced setting. We provide all necessary PPE to ensure your safety. Daily tasks will involve significant Lifting of items, ensuring they are handled properly to prevent damage or injury. Understanding the principles of logistics and supply chain management is beneficial. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Stock materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper rotation and organization.
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently according to customer specifications.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with inventory reconciliation.
- Load outgoing shipments onto trucks, ensuring proper securing and labeling.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Report any damaged goods or safety hazards immediately to supervisory staff.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to PPE usage.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role preferred.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting of objects up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Safety procedures and protocols.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
