We are looking for a reliable Material Handler to join our bustling warehouse in Tampa, Florida. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the movement of materials throughout the facility, ensuring that inventory is accurately received, stored, and dispatched. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, organizing stock, and preparing shipments. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to efficiency are key. This position involves significant physical exertion, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 pounds, and requires you to be on your feet for extended periods. Your adherence to all Safety regulations and proper use of PPE is paramount to maintaining a secure work environment. We are committed to optimizing our Logistics processes, and the Material Handler plays a crucial part in this. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Load and prepare outgoing shipments.
- Organize and maintain inventory storage areas.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
- Follow all warehouse Safety procedures and protocols.
- Utilize and maintain all required PPE .
- Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse environment.
- Support overall Logistics operations and team goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting (up to 50 lbs) and physically demanding tasks.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to wearing and maintaining all necessary PPE .
- Familiarity with Logistics processes is an advantage.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends if needed.
