Seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to manage stock levels and ensure accuracy within our Grand Rapids, Michigan facility. This role is vital to our logistics operations, requiring meticulous record-keeping and a proactive approach to inventory management. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions to maintain optimal inventory accuracy. This includes managing inbound and outbound inventory movements, verifying product counts against system data, and identifying slow-moving or obsolete stock. You will work closely with the warehouse team to ensure proper storage and handling of all items, contributing to a smooth workflow and efficient logistics. Adherence to safety standards, including the mandatory use of appropriate PPE, is critical. This position involves regular lifting of items up to 30 pounds, as well as operating scanning equipment and potentially material handling equipment. A strong understanding of inventory control principles and practices is essential. Proficiency in inventory management software and a keen eye for detail are highly valued. This role plays a key part in minimizing losses, optimizing warehouse space, and ensuring that we have the right products available when our customers need them.
