Our San Antonio, Texas location is seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper handling of all goods. Your responsibilities will include verifying incoming inventory against purchase orders, inspecting shipments for damage, logging received items into our system, and moving them to appropriate storage locations. A strong emphasis is placed on safety and compliance; all employees are required to wear appropriate PPE. This position requires physical stamina for Lifting and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate is organized, possesses strong data entry skills, and has a keen eye for detail. Experience in warehouse receiving or inventory management is a plus. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments.
- Verify contents of shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Tag and label incoming inventory appropriately.
- Move received goods to designated storage areas using forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues to supervisors promptly.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving clerk role or warehouse operations.
- Proficiency with computers and inventory management software.
- Ability to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Familiarity with logistics processes.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
