We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, implementing inventory control procedures, and ensuring optimal stock levels. A strong emphasis on Safety is paramount in all aspects of your work, and adherence to PPE guidelines is mandatory. While this role may involve some physical tasks, including occasional Lifting up to 30 lbs, its primary focus is on accuracy and organization within our Logistics operations. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a passion for optimizing warehouse processes. You will play a crucial role in streamlining our supply chain and contributing to the overall efficiency of our Logistics department. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS (Warehouse Management System).
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and report on inventory status.
- Ensure the proper storage and organization of inventory.
- Adhere to all company Safety regulations and use appropriate PPE .
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and management on inventory-related issues.
- Support overall Logistics goals through effective inventory management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency in WMS or similar inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform occasional Lifting of up to 30 lbs.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Willingness to wear and use required PPE .
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
