Are you an energetic individual looking for a rewarding career in logistics? Our Portland, Oregon facility is seeking a dedicated Order Picker to join our team. As an Order Picker, you will play a vital role in fulfilling customer orders accurately and efficiently. Your day-to-day activities will involve navigating the warehouse, locating specific items, and preparing them for shipment. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong sense of organization, and the ability to work quickly and accurately in a dynamic environment. You will be responsible for accurately picking items based on order sheets, ensuring correct quantities and product codes. Maintaining a safe working environment is a top priority; therefore, strict adherence to all safety regulations, including the mandated use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is essential. This position offers a competitive hourly wage and opportunities for overtime. The successful candidate will be able to work independently, manage their time effectively, and contribute to the overall productivity of our warehouse operations. Significant Lifting of boxes and items up to 50 pounds may be required throughout the shift. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders using a scanner and pick list.
- Verify product codes and quantities before fulfilling orders.
- Transport picked items to the packing or shipping station.
- Maintain organized storage locations and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with orders or inventory.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and walk throughout the warehouse.
- Capacity for frequent Lifting of items up to 50 pounds.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
