We are seeking an experienced Material Handler for our large-scale logistics facility in Houston, Texas. This role is crucial for managing the flow of materials within the warehouse, ensuring efficiency and accuracy. You will be responsible for operating various types of material handling equipment, organizing inventory, and supporting shipping and receiving operations. A strong understanding of warehouse procedures and a commitment to safety are essential. You will play a key role in our supply chain. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and internal transport vehicles.
- Move, sort, and stage materials to designated areas.
- Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory.
- Ensure that all materials are handled with care and stored properly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety regulations.
- Properly use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Support shipping and receiving departments as needed.
Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role. Proficiency with various material handling equipment. Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 60 lbs. Strong knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and logistics operations. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a team.
