Our Portland, Oregon facility is seeking a skilled Material Handler to support our dynamic logistics operations. As a Material Handler, you will play a key role in the movement and organization of goods throughout the warehouse. Your responsibilities will include operating material handling equipment, assisting with loading and unloading, and ensuring materials are correctly placed for efficient workflow. Safety is our top priority, and we expect all team members to adhere strictly to our Safety protocols. The ideal candidate is reliable, physically capable, and has a good understanding of warehouse operations and Safety. Previous experience is highly valued, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential. This role is critical to the success of our logistics chain.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and shipping containers.
- Move and stage inventory within the warehouse.
- Assist with receiving and put-away of incoming goods.
- Ensure materials are organized and stored in designated locations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Follow all Safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and verification.
- Support the logistics team in daily operational tasks.
- Perform tasks involving regular Lifting of materials.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
