Our Austin, Texas facility is looking for a meticulous Receiving Clerk to manage incoming shipments. This role is integral to our logistics chain, ensuring that all goods are received, inspected, and processed accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for verifying shipment contents against purchase orders, documenting any discrepancies, and organizing received goods for distribution within the warehouse. Maintaining a safe and organized receiving area is paramount. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding our high standards of quality and Safety. Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a fast-paced and essential operation.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from vendors.
- Verify contents of shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damage and report any issues.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Organize and stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe receiving dock area.
- Adhere to all company policies and Safety regulations, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, drivers, and internal departments.
- Assist with inventory counts and audits as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting boxes and operating pallet jacks.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience in receiving or inventory control is a plus.
- Commitment to workplace Safety.
