We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this critical role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move materials throughout our warehouse, including loading and unloading trucks, stocking shelves, and retrieving inventory. Your adherence to all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is non-negotiable. We prioritize a secure and productive work environment, and your expertise in forklift operation is essential to our daily operations and overall logistics success. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of warehouse procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers safely and efficiently.
- Put away incoming inventory and pick outgoing orders accurately.
- Conduct daily pre-operational inspections of forklifts and report any defects immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring clear pathways and safe operating conditions.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper PPE usage.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock verification.
- Work collaboratively with other warehouse personnel to ensure smooth workflow.
- Follow instructions from supervisors to meet daily operational goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the logistics department.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Forklift Operator. Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA). Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs. Deep understanding of and commitment to workplace safety protocols and the correct use of PPE. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity targets. Basic knowledge of inventory management and logistics principles. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
