Job Summary:
Exciting opportunity for a Shipping & Receiving Associate in Sacramento, California! This dynamic role is central to our logistics pipeline, managing the flow of goods in and out of our facility. You will be responsible for the accurate and efficient handling of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring our operations run smoothly and on schedule.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive, inspect, and document all incoming shipments, verifying against purchase orders.
  • Prepare and stage outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate order fulfillment and proper packaging.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
  • Ensure all areas are kept clean, organized, and safe, adhering to strict safety guidelines.
  • Mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times while on duty.
  • Coordinate with transportation providers for shipment pickups and deliveries.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and external stakeholders regarding shipment status.
  • Support overall logistics objectives through diligent work and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to perform tasks involving frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs).

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or general warehouse operations is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting and standing for extended periods.
  • Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and the importance of PPE.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • A commitment to contributing to efficient logistics and a safe work environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
