Our Kansas City, Missouri distribution center is seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for the physical movement, organization, and tracking of materials within our warehouse. Key duties include operating material handling equipment, loading and unloading delivery vehicles, and ensuring proper storage of inventory. A strong emphasis on Safety is essential, and you will be required to adhere to all company protocols and utilize the provided PPE . This position requires significant physical effort, including frequent Lifting of items up to 50 lbs, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport materials between different areas of the warehouse.
- Organize and stack inventory in designated storage locations.
- Perform regular equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all Safety guidelines and wear the required PPE .
- Engage in frequent Lifting and manual movement of materials.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock checks.
- Contribute to the overall success of our Logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse position.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery (certification is a plus).
- Physical capacity for standing, walking, bending, and performing heavy Lifting .
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety best practices.
- Familiarity with Logistics principles is an advantage.
