We are looking for a dedicated Material Handler to join our growing logistics team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks essential to our warehouse operations, including receiving goods, stocking shelves, picking orders, and preparing items for shipment. You will utilize hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move materials efficiently and safely. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment is crucial, as is ensuring the accurate handling of all inventory. The ideal candidate is reliable, possesses strong attention to detail, and has the physical ability to perform manual labor. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic logistics network. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Stock materials onto shelves and designated storage areas.
- Accurately pick items for customer orders.
- Pack and prepare orders for shipment.
- Use hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move inventory.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with cycle counts.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Assist with loading and unloading of trucks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or material handling experience is preferred.
- Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring frequent lifting and standing.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices.
- Willingness to comply with PPE requirements.
