Our Tampa, Florida facility is seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our energetic logistics team. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement and organization of goods within our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include receiving incoming shipments, stocking materials, fulfilling orders, and preparing items for dispatch. This role requires physical fitness, as you will be involved in frequent manual handling and moderate Lifting of various materials. A strong commitment to workplace safety is essential; you must consistently follow all safety protocols and correctly use provided personal protective equipment (PPE). You'll work within a dynamic environment, contributing to the smooth flow of our supply chain and ensuring inventory accuracy. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and stock incoming materials.
- Pick and pack items for outgoing shipments.
- Transport materials within the warehouse using hand trucks or pallet jacks.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
- Assist with regular inventory counts.
- Contribute to efficient Logistics operations.
- Perform tasks involving regular Lifting of materials up to 50 lbs.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or safety hazards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of safe material handling techniques.
- Understanding of basic Logistics concepts.
- Awareness of the importance of PPE and adherence to safety standards.
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual.
