We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our busy warehouse operations in Sacramento, California. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurately processed, documented, and prepared for timely delivery. You will manage shipping documentation, communicate with carriers, and maintain an organized shipping area. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a demanding logistics environment. If you are passionate about ensuring goods reach their destination correctly and on time, this is the role for you. You'll be a vital part of our supply chain, ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient shipping practices. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing slips, and manifests.
- Verify shipping information for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Track shipments and provide updates to internal teams and customers as needed.
- Ensure proper packaging and labeling of all outgoing orders to prevent damage and ensure accurate delivery.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE, to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Previous experience as a shipping clerk or in a related administrative role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and computer systems.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Familiarity with Logistics and warehouse operations.
- Ability to handle moderate Lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and accuracy are crucial.
- Understanding of Safety regulations in a warehouse setting.
