We are looking for a diligent Shipping & Receiving Associate to manage the flow of goods in and out of our facility in Omaha, Nebraska. This role is critical for maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of products. You will be responsible for overseeing all shipping and receiving operations, from documentation to the physical handling of materials. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to Safety are paramount. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a robust logistics network and grow within a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Inspect incoming goods for damage and accuracy against shipping documents.
- Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and customs forms.
- Organize and stage outgoing shipments for carriers.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through diligent data entry.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely (certification preferred).
- Ensure the shipping and receiving areas are kept clean, organized, and hazard-free, adhering to all Safety protocols.
- Manage warehouse supplies and reorder as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, vendors, and internal departments.
- Ensure all personnel use appropriate PPE during all operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is essential.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of Safety regulations and best practices in a logistics environment.
- Ability to handle physical tasks, including Lifting objects up to 70 pounds.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- Must adhere strictly to PPE requirements.
