We have an immediate opening for a skilled Material Handler in our Cincinnati, Ohio warehouse. This role is integral to our logistics network, ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods throughout our facility. As a Material Handler, you will operate equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials. Your attention to detail will be crucial for maintaining accurate inventory and preventing damage to products. You will be responsible for organizing materials in storage areas and ensuring they are readily available for picking and packing. Safety is our highest priority, and adherence to all safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE, is expected. This position requires physical strength and stamina, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and operate machinery effectively. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper placement and securing of goods.
- Transport materials to and from designated warehouse locations.
- Stack and organize inventory in a manner that maximizes space and accessibility.
- Perform routine checks on equipment and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist with inventory management and record keeping.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Support shipping and receiving functions as needed.
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler; forklift certification is required.
- Demonstrated ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse safety practices and procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
