Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Oversee the training and performance of warehouse staff, promoting a culture of safety and productivity.
- Implement and maintain efficient warehouse layouts and organization strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Coordinate with transportation and logistics teams to ensure on-time shipments.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and manage orders.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare operational reports.
- Uphold safety standards for all material handling processes, including safe lifting techniques.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in warehouse coordination or a similar supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in WMS software and other relevant technologies.
- Ability to develop and implement operational improvements.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Physical ability to oversee warehouse activities, including occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in logistics or related field is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively.
- Commitment to ensuring the safe use of PPE and adherence to all safety guidelines in this demanding logistics environment.
