Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is pivotal in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our extensive warehouse inventory. Responsibilities include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating and resolving discrepancies, managing inventory adjustments, and ensuring proper stock rotation. Your expertise will directly contribute to operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness within our Logistics department. We are dedicated to providing a secure and healthy workplace, mandating the use of appropriate PPE and upholding rigorous Safety standards. While this role focuses on data and analysis, some physical activity, including occasional Lifting of items up to 30 pounds, may be required.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform accurate and timely cycle counts and full physical inventory counts.
  • Investigate and reconcile all inventory discrepancies.
  • Manage inventory adjustments and maintain accurate system records.
  • Implement and enforce stock rotation policies (e.g., FIFO/LIFO) to minimize waste.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with procurement to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Ensure proper product identification, labeling, and storage within the warehouse.
  • Develop and refine inventory control procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Work closely with warehouse operations, purchasing, and sales teams.
  • Champion adherence to all company Safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure proper use of all required PPE .
  • Support overall Logistics accuracy through diligent inventory management.
  • Assist with physical inventory tasks as needed, including some manual handling and Lifting .

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, preferably in a warehouse or distribution setting.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory management software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Familiarity with Logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Comfortable with warehouse environments and the use of PPE .
  • Understanding of material handling principles and basic Lifting techniques.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of workplace Safety .
