Job Summary:
Join our growing team as an Inventory Control Specialist in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. This position requires a meticulous and organized individual with a strong understanding of inventory management principles and Logistics . You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory control, including cycle counting, stock adjustments, discrepancy resolution, and ensuring proper storage and organization of goods. Maintaining an accurate inventory is critical for efficient order fulfillment and customer satisfaction. Your contributions will directly impact our operational success. We emphasize a safe working environment and provide necessary PPE . While this role is less physically demanding than some warehouse positions, occasional lifting of items up to 30 pounds may be required. Strict adherence to Safety guidelines is expected at all times.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Manage stock rotation (e.g., FIFO/LIFO) to minimize obsolescence.
  • Implement and maintain accurate inventory records using our WMS (Warehouse Management System).
  • Monitor stock levels and recommend reorder points to procurement.
  • Ensure proper identification, labeling, and location of all inventory items.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and suggest improvements.
  • Collaborate with warehouse operations and purchasing departments to optimize inventory flow.
  • Promote a culture of accuracy and accountability within the inventory management process.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, including strict adherence to Safety procedures and the proper use of PPE .
  • Assist with receiving and put-away processes as needed, involving some manual handling and potential Lifting .

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Familiarity with Logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable using PPE as required.
  • Understanding of material handling and basic Lifting techniques.
  • Dedication to maintaining a high standard of warehouse Safety .
