We are recruiting a meticulous Shipping Clerk for our busy distribution center in Fort Worth, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurate, properly documented, and prepared for transit. This position is key to our logistics operations, guaranteeing that our products reach their destinations efficiently and without error. You will work closely with carriers, manage shipping labels, and maintain detailed shipping records. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong communication skills. A commitment to safety, including safe Lifting practices and the appropriate use of PPE, is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and manifests.
- Verify accuracy of outgoing shipments against orders.
- Generate shipping labels and arrange for package pickup.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update the inventory management system.
- Inspect outgoing packages for proper packaging and labeling.
- Communicate with internal departments and external customers regarding shipping status.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Adhere to all safety procedures, including proper Lifting techniques and the use of mandated PPE.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics and shipping department.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency with shipping software and general computer skills.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of shipping regulations and documentation.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace and utilizing all required PPE.
