We are seeking a reliable Receiving Clerk to join our team in Detroit, Michigan. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing the incoming flow of goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our receiving process. Your work directly impacts our inventory management and overall logistics chain.
Responsibilities:
- Unloading incoming shipments and verifying contents against purchase orders.
- Inspecting goods for any damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately logging received items into the inventory system.
- Stocking received materials in their designated locations.
- Coordinating with vendors and internal teams regarding deliveries.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhering strictly to all Safety protocols and wearing appropriate PPE.
- Assisting with inventory counts and reconciliation.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a receiving or warehouse environment is beneficial.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting and moving of goods.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
- Good communication skills for interacting with drivers and staff.
- Commitment to adhering to all Safety standards.
