Join our fast-paced warehouse team as a Picker/Packer in Grand Rapids, Michigan! We are seeking motivated individuals to accurately pick customer orders and prepare them for shipment. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. You will be responsible for using hand-held scanners, locating items within the warehouse, picking them accurately, and then packing them securely for transit. A keen eye for detail, efficiency, and a strong commitment to safety are crucial. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using a scanner.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Meet established productivity and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station.
- Operate warehouse equipment as needed, following safety guidelines.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory checks and stock replenishment.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the shipping and logistics department.
- Ensure all packages are correctly labeled for transit.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and item locations.
- Proficiency with hand-held scanners.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to workplace Safety.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
