Our Columbus, Ohio distribution center is seeking dedicated Material Handlers to join our operational team. As a Material Handler, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth flow of goods within our facility. Your responsibilities will include receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping materials, as well as operating various types of material handling equipment. We are looking for individuals who are physically capable, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding the highest standards of Safety . This role requires frequent Lifting of items up to 50 pounds and sustained physical activity, including standing, walking, and bending. You must be proficient in operating equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks, with a valid certification being a significant plus. Adherence to all company policies, including the mandatory use of appropriate PPE , is essential. This position is key to our overall Logistics success, ensuring that inventory is managed efficiently and accurately. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Store inventory in designated locations accurately.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and company policies.
- Consistently use all required PPE .
- Support the efficiency of Logistics operations through diligent work.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role.
- Proficiency operating forklifts and other MHE (Material Handling Equipment).
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting up to 50 lbs and other strenuous tasks.
- Solid understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and protocols.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to wearing and maintaining required PPE .
- Knowledge of Logistics principles is beneficial.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts as needed.
