Join our logistics team in Atlanta, Georgia, as a Receiving Clerk! This fundamental role ensures that all incoming goods are processed accurately, efficiently, and safely. Your primary duties will involve unloading shipments from trucks, verifying the contents against purchase orders and packing slips, inspecting for any damage or discrepancies, and accurately recording all received inventory into our system. You will be responsible for maintaining an organized and clutter-free receiving area, coordinating with vendors and internal departments to resolve any issues, and ensuring that all products meet quality standards before entering the warehouse. A strong commitment to safety, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is non-negotiable. This position requires physical stamina, including regular lifting and maneuvering of goods, to support our fast-paced logistics environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments.
- Verify accuracy of goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Document any damages or discrepancies found during inspection.
- Enter received inventory data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams regarding deliveries.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role is preferred. Familiarity with WMS is a plus. Must be able to perform tasks involving lifting up to 50 lbs regularly. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills. Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE is essential for this logistics role.
