We are seeking an experienced Material Handler to join our vital logistics team in Boise, Idaho. In this role, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, and organization of materials throughout our warehouse facility. Your duties will include operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to transport goods, loading and unloading delivery vehicles, and ensuring that materials are stored in designated locations efficiently and safely. Proper inventory management and tracking are key components of this position. You will play a significant part in maintaining the smooth flow of operations, from receiving to shipping. A deep understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to safety, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE), are essential. This physically demanding role requires significant lifting and the ability to operate machinery safely.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move and stack materials to designated storage areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and record keeping.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Ensure all materials are handled in accordance with safety regulations.
- Inspect equipment before and after use.
- Support shipping and receiving functions as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially concerning safety and PPE usage.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role is required. Valid forklift certification or the ability to obtain one. Proven ability to operate various types of material handling equipment safely. Must be able to perform tasks involving heavy lifting and manual dexterity. Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. This logistics position requires a reliable and safety-conscious individual.
