Join our dynamic logistics team in San Diego, California, as a Material Handler! We are seeking dependable and capable individuals to ensure the smooth and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. This role is fundamental to our supply chain operations, requiring physical strength, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. You will be responsible for handling a variety of materials and products, contributing directly to our operational success.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and store incoming materials and products.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from various points within the warehouse, including production and shipping areas.
- Organize and stack materials in designated locations, ensuring stability and accessibility.
- Perform regular inventory checks and assist with stocktaking.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with all regulations.
- Utilize and adhere to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Support overall logistics efficiency through effective material management.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Material Handler role or similar warehouse position is required.
- Forklift operation experience and certification is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform regular heavy lifting (up to 60 lbs) and physical labor.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, safety procedures, and logistics principles.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet performance standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be reliable and committed to workplace safety.
