You'll be responsible for selecting items from inventory, verifying their accuracy, and then carefully packing them for transit. Understanding and executing proper packing techniques to prevent damage during shipping is crucial. All employees are required to adhere to stringent safety standards and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as mandated. This role requires significant standing, walking, bending, and the ability to perform frequent lifting of items up to 40 pounds. Responsibilities:
- Accurately picking customer orders from inventory.
- Verifying the correct items and quantities for each order.
- Carefully packing items to ensure they are protected during shipping.
- Labeling packages correctly for shipment.
- Performing quality checks on outgoing orders.
- Maintaining a clean and organized packing station and work area.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and utilizing appropriate PPE.
- Reporting any damaged goods or inventory discrepancies.
- Assisting with inventory counts and other warehouse tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking and packing or a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Good manual dexterity for packing.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
