This position is responsible for the assessment, treatment, and management of patients with motor, sensory, perceptual and/or cognitive impairments affecting functional independence and active participation in daily living. The Occupational Therapist evaluates, plans, and executes the patient's treatment program. Coordinated with the team, patient, and family to develop a plan of care. Responsible for following departmental procedures and maintaining professional standards. Instructs and supervises Occupational Therapy Assistants in treatments delegated and follow through with required documentation. Involved in the orientation, training, and oversight of student interns and new employees. the therapist participates in a variety of professional growth activities intended to develop and improve patient care delivery and departmental performances. The therapist is expected to follow Soaring on Hope's Mission & Vision and demonstrate values when administering departmental services and fulfilling patient and family needs.
*Duties*
* Establish treatment plan and provides treatment, considering discharge needs; expected discharge functional status; and appropriate equipment and supplies.
* Educate, collaborate with, and conference with patients, families, and other healthcare providers; making recommendations for referrals to specialists as needed.
* Attend regular team meetings.
* Delegate to assistants and students through written and verbal communication including determining the skill level or competency required to provide interventions to best meet the needs of the patient.
* Complete timely documentation in accordance with departmental policies.
* Provide evaluations, re-evaluations, and/or consultations for occupational therapy
*Requirements*
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy
- Valid Oklahoma clinical licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Knowledge of current best practices, scientifically validated methodologies, and approaches that are beneficial for children with therapy needs
- Expertise in empirically evaluated assessment and intervention strategies related to program and service delivery for individuals with therapy needs
- Familiarity with EMR and billing systems for therapy services
- Willingness to attend Soaring on Hope related events and meet with potential referral sources
- Pediatric experience preferred
*Program Responsibilities*
* Assist with community presentations and events, as applicable
* Become active and involved in professional associations, social media, and local organizations

Salary is commensurate with experience. We offer flexible pay alternatives: Hourly, Salary, or Per Billable Hour.
