The Global Head of Solution Engineering is responsible for leading Aera's global presales function, encompassing value storytelling, technical discovery, solution design, and strategic demo execution. This role ensures that the value of Aera's Decision Intelligence platform is communicated in a compelling, business-centric manner while maintaining strong alignment with customer requirements and internal product capabilities. The incumbent will oversee both a solid-line technical demo engineering team and dotted-line regional presales/solution engineers. This leader will create scalable processes, elevate presales performance globally, and partner cross-functionally to accelerate revenue growth and improve sales effectiveness. Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management Lead, manage, and develop a global presales organization. Establish a high-performance culture focused on accountability and collaboration. Develop standardized presales methodologies and playbooks. Partner cross-functionally across GTM, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success. Customer Engagement & Value Storytelling Deliver compelling presentations demonstrating Aera's business value. Lead technical and business discovery sessions with senior stakeholders. Support Sales in strategic pursuits and competitive cycles. Ensure consistent delivery of Aera's value proposition globally. Translate technologies for the business so business and non tech people understand and value what it is and how they use it. Solution Design & Technical Translation Understand the sales cycle and identify and communicate what presales strategy is going to help win. Translate customer requirements into actionable technical specifications. Oversee discovery, qualification, and scoping processes. Advise Sales and Product on customer needs and solution feasibility. Demo Strategy & Delivery Excellence Own the global demo strategy, including assets, templates, and environments. Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of custom demos. Improve demo development efficiency and scalability. Choose and build the right assets and the right team to increase both productivity and win rate. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Revenue Enablement Contribute to RFP responses, solution positioning, and competitive strategy. Provide structured product feedback to Product and Engineering. Partner with Marketing on messaging and technical content. About You
810+ years presales or solution engineering experience in enterprise SaaS, analytics, or BI. Proven ability to convert technical concepts into business value messaging. Experience leading global presales or solution consulting teams. Excellent communication, storytelling, and executive engagement skills. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; MBA preferred. Ability to travel locally and globally (up to 30%) with moderate (2 weeks') notice. $190,000 - $210,000 a year Compensation for this position consists of a maximum $210,000 salary + variable bonus + equity. Actual compensation and bonus offered will vary based on a number of factors including prior experience and location. Equity value is subject to company valuation and vesting requirements.
